~All the Autumn's Joys~

This season's first freshly baked loaf of bread (a la bread machine)

Whole Wheat Autumn Bread

(use whole wheat setting on bread machine)

11oz water
1 1/2  tsp salt
1 1/2 tblsp olive oil
2 tblsp molasses
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup self rising flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp active dry yeast

Measure all ingredients into bread pan in order above. 
Select whole wheat setting with a medium crust.
This bread is very 'wheat' flavored and makes great toast . . . I happen to be enjoying a slice with raspberry jam at this very moment.

  1. There is nothing better than the smell of fresh baked bread on a autumn day.
    I remember telling my Mother, long ago (20+ years) on a crisp autumn day, as she was bringing the hot loaves of bread out of the oven "Mumsy, I think this is what heaven smells like" She smiled and said "I bet you are right, kiddo"
