Regardless of how 'sweet' this one looks, know that it is all an act.
Below is a small taste of some of the naughtiness this one partakes of.
(mind you, he had to break through the screen in order to do this!)

And the finding of white fur EVERYWHERE is the least of this animal's transgressions!
Behold . . . the wallpaper in our hallway (only a year or so old).
I want to cry every time I walk by- which means about 300 times a day.
And yet . . . it gets worse . . .
Once upon a time, this poor old chair was whole.
And didn't threaten you with splinters whenever you sat down.
And try as he might to persuade you he had no choice, just know that plenty of appropriate scratching options have been offered.
He just thinks he's an artist like everyone else here . . . he's just re-sculpting; making his vision plain.
Oh, yes. He may be cute . . .
but don't let him fool you for a minute!

Oh my. I think he might need to go to manners school. This post reminded me - do you know the books about Jenny Linsky the Cat by Esther Averill. You need toread these if you have not already.

that is hilarious! i completely understand. my dear cat lester has torn up the back side of my beloved vintage flowered loveseat. i had to move it to another wall so the ripped up back wasn't showing. oh well, at least they are good cuddlers! :)

ReplyDeleteWHAT A NAUGHTY FELLOW HE IS INDEED..,YES, THOSE KITTIES..,THEY MAY LOOK ADORABLE, YET WHEREAS I HAD ONE SO MUCH LIKE HIM, I KNOW ALL ABOUT HOW THAT INNOCENT LOOKING, 'CUTENESS', CAN DECEIVE. YET I LOVED MY CAT THAT WAS SO SIMILAR; I MISS HIM AND WISH HE LIVED BEYOND ONLY SIX YEARS..,
MY CURRENT KITTY IS MUCH KINDER TO FURNITURE, YET CAN TURN NASTY-SH, ( THANKFULLY NOTHING TOO INTENSE), SHE ACTS, WELL..,'CATTY'.., AND ONLY IN SHORT SPURTS, ABOUT ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR.., THE REST OF THE TIME SHE'S A SWEETIE, JUST LIKE YOURS, ONLY DIFFERENT.
I LOVE CATS FOR MANY REASONS, MOSTLY BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL SO INDIVIDUAL.
